# Creating Company Objectives
## This article aims to guide you on how to create your company objectives.
Creating company objective(s) is important because it will cascade down to how the objectives for each department, individual(s), or custom are achieved. It also helps with the alignment of the company's goals. The company objectives can only be created by either of the admins.
The following steps will guide you on how to create the company's objective(s):
- Select **Performance** from the sidebar menu and choose **Period** from the drop-down.

- Click on **+ Add new Period** and provide the following information:
- The **Period** name.
- The **Period** date.
- Click **Finish** after you enter the necessary details and a new **Performance Period** will be created for you.
- The next step is to Add the company objective(s).

- Create the company objectives for the set period created.

- Select the start and end date for the set objective(s).
- Choose the category for the set objective(s) that fits the description and select finish.
