How to Record Absenteeism for Employees on PaidHR as an Administrator

Understanding and managing employee absenteeism is crucial for maintaining a productive, efficient, and positive work environment. Companies that effectively address absenteeism can impact improvements in productivity and overall business performance.

Purpose of absence recording:

  • Helps track employee punctuality and attendance

  • Utilizes your time-tracking device for accurate record-keeping

  • It incorporates data into monthly payroll processing

Here are the detailed steps for recording employee absences in the PaidHR system:

  1. Navigate to Time tracking

  2. Select Absence

  3. Click on Create New Absence Batch

  4. Describe the New absence batch

  5. Select the date range for the new absence batch

  6. Click on the three-dotted lines next to the newly created batch to view it

  7. Choose how to upload absence data:
    a. Bulk upload using the provided template (b.) Use your spreadsheet (max 2MB file size). This process allows for efficient bulk recording of employee absences, which is crucial for accurate time tracking and payroll management. The option to use either a provided template or your spreadsheet offers flexibility to suit different company needs.

  8. If using your spreadsheet, select the header rows

  9. Upload your file

  10. Batch approve the data uploaded.
