How To Create A Survey
The Survey module allows you to create and distribute surveys to employees across your organisation. There are three types of surveys available:
- General Surveys – Surveys that can be assigned to all employees or selected employees.
- Confirmation Surveys – Surveys conducted after employees are confirmed in their roles to gather feedback and insights about their onboarding and transition experience.
- Exit Surveys – Surveys created for employees who are leaving the organisation to collect feedback on their experience.
Follow the steps below to create a survey.
Step 1: Create a Survey Template- Log in to your administrator account.
- Navigate to Survey from the menu.
- Click Templates beside the Survey module.
- Click Create Template at the top-right corner of the page.
Enter Template Details
On the Survey Template page, provide the following information:
- Survey Type – Select the type of survey you want to create.
- Template Name – Enter a name for the survey template.
- Description – Provide a brief description of the survey.
- Click Continue.
On the Template Questions page:
- Click the plus (+) icon to add a new question.
- Enter the following details:
- Question Title – Enter the survey question.
- Question Description – Provide additional context or instructions, if required.
- Response Type – Select how respondents will answer the question. Available options include:
- Dropdown
- Textbox
- Rating Scale
- Rating Scale with Textbox
- Click Save to save the question.
- Repeat the process by clicking the plus (+) icon to add additional questions as needed.
Once all questions have been added:
- Review the survey template and questions.
- Click Finish to save and complete the survey template
Creating and Managing Surveys
Once you have created a survey template, you can create a survey and assign it to employees.
Step 4: Create a Survey
- Navigate to the Survey module.
- Click Create Survey.
Enter Survey Details
Provide the following information:
- Survey Title – Enter a title for the survey.
- Survey Type – Select the appropriate survey type:
- General Survey – For all employees or selected employees.
- Confirmation Survey – For employees who have recently been confirmed in their roles.
- Exit Survey – For employees who are leaving the organisation.
- Template – Select the survey template that will be used.
- Is this survey anonymous?
- Select Yes if you do not want employees to know who sent the survey.
- Select No if you want employees to know the survey was sent by you.
- Click Submit to create the survey.
Step 5: Manage Surveys
After creating a survey, you can manage it by clicking the three ellipses (...) beside the survey.
The following actions are available:
Preview Survey
Select Preview to view the survey exactly as employees will see it. This allows you to review all questions before assigning the survey.
Edit Survey
Select Edit to update any survey details, including the title, template, or survey settings.
Assign Employees
To assign the survey:
- Click Assign Employees.
- Select the employees who should complete the survey.
- You can choose:
- All Employees
- Specific Employees
- Multiple employees can be selected at once.
- Click Submit to assign the survey.
Once assigned, employees will receive an email notification inviting them to complete the survey.
Delete Survey
Select Delete to permanently remove the survey from your survey list.
Note: Deleting a survey cannot be undone. Ensure the survey is no longer required before proceeding.
